Looe Cornwall was originally the two towns of East Looe and West Looe but now linked with a bridge over the river. Looe is one of the important fishing ports of Cornwall and provides local fresh fish for the pubs and sea food restaurants. The Looe river is separated from the sandy beach by the famous Banjo pier from which Looe Island can be seen. There are many boat trips available, mackerel fishing, angling and a visit to Looe Island. The Cornwall coast path is easily accessed from Looe with provides great coastal walking to Polperro, Fowey, Kingsand and many of the other beaches and villages. |
